Customize Your Work Order Types

Control how each work order type looks, behaves, and shows up across Pico.

Written by Manuela Sanchez

Go to Manage Property > Work Order Types, select a type, and click Edit. Create new types with Add Work Order Type.

Make Important Work Stand Out

  • Highlight on cards — Adds a color-fade accent bar so the type stands out at a glance.

  • Mark as Guest Request — Adds a tag and indicator visible when you open the work order. To make guest requests stand out on the card too, enable Highlight on cards alongside this.

  • Hide from home page — Removes the type from the home page while keeping it visible in All Work, Calendar, and Reporting.

Change the Workflow

  • Enable time and materials tracking — Requires time and parts documentation when the work order is completed.

  • Exclude from auto-created work orders — Won't be assigned on PM-generated work orders, but team members can still select it manually.

How It Looks

Choose an icon and color for each type — this is how it appears on cards, lists, and maps. The color also applies to the Highlight on cards accent bar.
