Set default Work Order settings for a team

Set defaults for each team so work orders are created with the right type, a realistic due date, and the right pickup rules.

To update a team's defaults, go to More > Manage Property > Teams on the website, select the team, and click Edit.

Avoid false urgency with a default due date

When work orders don't have a due date set, everything feels urgent. Setting a default number of days from today ensures requesters see a realistic timeline from the start — and your team spends less time correcting priorities.

Pre-select the right work order type

If a team handles one type of work most of the time, setting a default type means one less thing to fill in when creating a work order. It also reduces the chance of work being logged under the wrong type.

Control how work gets picked up

Allow Pickup lets team members claim unassigned work orders on their own. Enable it if you want your team to self-organize, or turn it off if you'd rather managers assign work directly.
