How do I change the status of a Work Order?

Keep your team up to date on your progress by choosing the right status

From the Mobile App, go to Overview or Work Orders and open the Work Order you are working on. Tap Start Work - if the Work Order was not assigned, it will be automatically assigned to you. You can now Place on Hold or Complete it.

On Desktop, go to Work Orders, or Overview, and open the Work Order you need to update. Change the status with the drop-down menu in the upper-right corner.

  1. Open - Newly created, not yet assigned or started.

  2. Assigned – A teammate was assigned to the WO

  3. In Progress – Work is actively being done.

  4. On Hold – Use this when waiting for parts, approvals, or other actions.

  5. Completed – The Work Order is finished.

💡 Tip: Keep statuses current — it helps the next team know what’s done and what’s pending. Add photos and comments along the way to keep everyone in sync. Before marking a Work Order as completed, double-check that all tasks are done.
