Add a Template (Procedure) to a Work Order

Some work needs more than a description — it needs a structured checklist. Add a Template when you create a Work Order to give your team the exact steps to follow.

Add a Template to a Work Order

When creating a Work Order:

  1. Under Details, select Template

  2. Select a Template from the dropdown

  3. Tap Create Work Order

Once the order is created, the checklist will appear in the Tasks section. Team members can complete tasks individually and save progress as they go.

Examples of when to use a Template

Use Templates on Work Orders for one-off inspections, audits, deep cleans, or any specific work that needs a checklist. For recurring inspections and preventative maintenance programs, use the Maintenance module — it auto-schedules the work and tracks completion and performance over time.

Why it matters

Templates make sure the right steps get followed every time, no matter who's doing the work. Quality stays consistent, and nothing gets skipped.
