Reopening and fixing completed work orders

Need to make a change to a completed work order? You can either reopen it if the work still needs to be done, or fix the record if the work is complete but some information needs to be corrected.

To edit completed work orders, use Pico on your desktop browser. Team Managers and Property Managers will see two options at the top of any Completed Work Order: Reopen or Fix Record Details.

↩️ Reopen when work isn't actually finished

A repair didn't hold, something got missed, or the wrong record got closed. Click Reopen to put it back in motion — it goes to Assigned if someone's already on it (they're notified automatically) or Open if not. You'll leave a reason, so anyone looking at the history later knows exactly why it came back.

Working on a PM? If the next scheduled PM already exists, Pico won't let you reopen the previous work order until the new one has been completed or cancelled. This prevents two open work orders from being created for the same maintenance cycle.

✏️ The work is fine, but some information is missing or incorrect

If the work is complete but some information is missing or incorrect — such as the location, asset, or time — click Fix Record Details to update the work order.
The work order stays completed, and you can correct the record without reopening or reassigning it.
