Store Asset Details and Specs in Pico

Give your asset records the detail they need — specs, manuals, custom fields — so techs have everything in front of them on the job.

Written by Manuela Sanchez

Just like locations, assets can have custom attributes. You set them up at the asset type level (e.g. HVAC Unit, Water Heater, Elevator), and every asset of that type inherits those fields

How to do it

  1. Go to More → Manage Property → Asset Types on desktop

  2. Select an asset type and open Attributes > Add attribute

  3. Add the fields relevant to that type, like O&M manual URL, last service date, and any custom field specific to your property

  4. Create attribute

⚡️Tip: From any individual asset record, you can also upload PDFs and photos directly — like manuals, warranty documents, and photos of the equipment. Techs see these attachments inside their work orders in the app, right when they need them.

Why it matters

The more context an asset has, the less time techs spend tracking down information before or during a job. Attributes and media attachments turn asset records from basic entries into a real reference library for your team.
