1. Cover whole types, not individual rooms
When choosing what a program covers, pick a whole type (like all Guest Rooms) instead of selecting rooms one by one. That way, when a new location or asset is added to your property, it automatically joins the program.
2. Split or combine — pick on purpose
One work order per item works best for room PMs: each room is trackable and the work splits across the team. Combining into a single work order works best for walkthroughs and inspections one person does in a pass.
3. Publish, or it doesn't exist
A program isn't live until you publish it. After building it, click Generate Preview, pick your start date, and hit Save and Publish — that's what creates the first work orders.
4. Watch for gray in Coverage
Red means overdue — but gray means no coverage at all, so it will never show as overdue. Scan Maintenance > Coverage and give gray spaces a program.
